Privacy policy

Last updated November 4, 2026.

Richard Cheeseburger's Double Take™ ("the game") is made by What It Is What It Do LLC ("we"). We keep as little about you as we can.

Playing on your own device

Against the computer and in pass and play, nothing leaves your device. Your name, your character, your settings, your winnings and the photo you choose for your profile are all saved on your device only.

Playing online

To play online you sign in with Apple and pick a username. We keep:

  • your username and the character you choose,
  • the ID Sign in with Apple gives us for you (it's made for this game only, and it isn't your email or Apple ID),
  • your game results, rating, winnings and cars won,
  • a random key each of your devices remembers, so you stay signed in (we store only a scrambled copy of it).

We use these only to run your account, online play and the leaderboard. We don't ask for your email, phone number or a password, we don't track your location, we don't sell anything about you, and there are no ads or ad trackers. Other players see your username and character.

Usernames

Your username is yours alone: nobody else can use it, on any device. You can change it once; after that it's locked. A username that's been let go of (changed, reported off, or its account deleted) is retired for good, so nobody can ever pose as you.

Purchases

Buying the full show is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details; Apple only tells the game what you own, so the full show unlocks on all your devices.

Voices

Richard's and Gus's voices are recordings that come with the game. Your name is never sent anywhere to be spoken.

Sharing

When you tap Share or Invite a Friend, the game hands a picture or a message to your device's own share sheet, and you choose where it goes. We don't see what you share or who you share it with.

Ratings

After a big win the game may ask Apple to show its rating box. That's Apple's, and we never see who rated or how.

Names and reports

Usernames are checked for offensive words. Players can report a username; when three different players report it, it's retired for good and the player picks a new one.

Deleting your record

In the game, go to Play Online, then Privacy, then Forget Me. Your account is deleted right away: your username, your sign-in and your online record. Past games stay in the results without your name, and your username is retired so nobody else can take it. Your purchase stays with your Apple ID. You can also email us to ask.

Backups and servers

The game runs on our own server. We keep backups of the game database for a few days so a broken disk can't erase the leaderboard.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information beyond the username a player picks for online play and the sign-in ID that goes with it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Questions? Email support@rcdoubletake.com.
